I visited the CN Tower today.

It's the tallest free standing structure in the world apparently. Took me ages to find. Basically, it's a bloody great TV transmitter with a couple of 'pods' (floors) near to the top that have 'look outs' (windows) and 'restaurants' (cafes) in them. There's also a glass floor, which I jumped on and an open terrace, which I walked round.

The 'SkyPod' (the small pod near the top) is the highest observation deck in the world and gives fantastic views of Toronto and Lake Ontario:

They say you can see Niagara Falls from the tower on a clear day, but I couldn't. That's not a problem though - I'm going to the falls tomorrow.

I also visited the Royal Ontario Museum today in the hope that I could learn something of the history of Canada, Ontario and Toronto. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing, there was nothing about Canada at all. I did learn a fair bit about the historical fashions in British furniture though. There was also a decent exhibition about paperweights. Certainly not worth the $18 admission charge.
