I've got a filter coffee maker in this room, two plastic cups, a bag of coffee, some sugar and two tea bags. Which is nice, but how am I supposed to make a cuppa tea? There's no milk and there's no kettle. What do I have to do with the tea bags? Suck them?
It may come to that. I've got a habbit to feed. Luckily, I did get a fix on the plane.
Yes, I got here okay. I was early all the way actually - I was at Heathrow four hours before departure which was very a long wait, so I went for a wonder around.
Don't. Don't go for a wonder round airport terminals. That's todays top tip. I got into trouble. I wondered somewhere I couldn't get back from and had to go back through the flight connections centre and through security again (it took half an hour first time round!). Still, I suppose it killed time.
When I got to Toronto it took me ages to find the bus to the subway station. There were signs everywhere pointing to "Public Transit" and there was no "public transit" where they pointed. When I did find the bus stop, and when the bus turned up I discovered that the drivers don't give change and I had to pay $5 for a $2.70 journey. Oh well.
Still, thats what makes turning up in a new city and a new country interesting. It's new and you've got to figure out how it works quick... Or you could just sleep in the arrivals building, I suppose. Or just do what you'd do and get a taxi.
